@APinNY We didn't go up, we'd already climbed a mountain that afternoon, I just drove up to look around. I actually haven't been on the Cog since I was a kid/teenager in the 80s. Prices have certainly jumped since then. The coal/steam trains are $99, diesel is $86 (looking at Memorial Day 2022). Off-peak-season would be less, and mid-week might be less as well.

Which road,
@Ariens93GT20? I was driving my Class C RV on the road in my pic above, plenty wide enough. There's also a place where you can camp free at the base of the tracks, several large fifth wheel trailers were there.
There's also an auto road on the opposite side of the mountain. You can drive your own passenger vehicle up there, or ride in one of their shuttles.
I've been to the summit all 3 ways (including on my feet). That area has always my Dad's favorite place to vacation.
