Like someone mentioned we haven't had any significant snowfalls this year. And its after the holidays. Today, I just read all the gulf states may experience spring 20 days earlier this year. Where I'm at in MD., its 15 to 20 degrees warmer this year than normal temperatures so there's definitely a climate change. I see rhododendrons butting. I remember 50 years ago, we had snow on the ground for 2 months. Not any more. Maybe that's why the forum activity seems slow. No more blizzards.

Yes! It becoming a just let those trees burn and get it over with. I don't want to have to put up with this every year. But the lates statistics show 90% of these fires are started by humans.

Hot and humid here yesterday also. 99° with 107 heat index. Will be cooling off into the weekend. Today its supposed to get to 95°.

Right now bad weather might be "good weather" for us. Grass is crunchy from drought. Good solid inch or so of rain would be real nice.

Likewise here in southwest Wisconsin. I haven't mowed for 2 weeks. I could mow would expect it to turn brown if I did. We did get some drizzles yesterday afternoon but did not amount to anything.

It was a hot 99 degrees and I cut my grass today with a bagger and decided to dethatch the entire lawn. Then I recut the entire lawn with a bagger and ended up filling eight containers of dead grass. Thinking its going to be hot for a while I'm going to wait until October to seed. Since I had all the trees removed in the front yard, my grass turn brown and daed.

Our electric bill was $400 last month and the thermostat was on 76. Last year the bills were about 200 to 250 during the summer. I think we got a rate increase too but we had 47 days above 90 degrees. so far.

My wife runs that hairdryer for hours doing her hair. I told her about that and running that clothes dryer with just a couple panties in it. Them long hot showers too. But really the electric company sent me a letter after I got the bill and said if I raise my thermostat up, my bill would have been cheaper. It was at 76, I may as well just turn the furnace off.
