Getting to the end of this restore, got the painting done, all thats left is putting the starter/generator on but i have a wire integrated in the solenoid side of the SG cable that I cant decide where it goes. The Hood was a big job to finally get it where I needed to be but I was finally pleased with it.

Biker, your attention to painting detail is remarkable. I hope I can maintain half of that with me summer painting projects. Looks really nice!

Pct,After working for Boeing so long and having to do quality work I just cant stop at ok.

What colour is the wire, Biker? If its a thin brown one that's piggybacking on the thicker black one that goes from Solenoid to S/G, that one goes to the GEN terminal on the voltage regulator... That's the single terminal on the top side... Have you got the electrical diagram for the 110?

I was wondering how this was progressive Jim. It looks great! As always.

Looking like it's better than new. Here is the wiring diagram with the correction. The manual is wrong.

LTG,it is short and has a spade connector on it,the beown one that goes on top of the vr comes out of the wire loom.Heres a picture, the diagram dosent show a wire off the big black one on the selonoid?
Larry thanks for the diagram.

Ah, see, they're sneaky... that brown one out of the wiring harness goes to the top terminal of the VR as well... So you have the brown one from the wiring harness to the VR, then there's another brown that continues from the VR to the SG side of the solenoid... It bundles in with the heavy-gage black that goes from the solenoid to the"A" terminal of the SG... Lemme run out and take a pic of Bror, I THINK I should be able to show you that one....

Oh, HEY.... NOW I can see your photo there biker... Couldn't see it when I was inside, see it now that I'm posting from the computer in my shop.... Yup, THAT one goes on the top terminal of the VR as well.... Here's my pix

This one, you can see where it comes out of the black heavy gage wire on the solenoid.

Here you can see where the two are strapped onto the top terminal... One of mine doesn't have the nice sideways spade, because that wire broke off on me... Had to make my own with a regular spade and NOT brown wire....

DANG its cold out here! -10 C again today, kinda puts a crimp into tractoring!

Good thing you started with a 110 for your first RF, I've heard the 112s make the 110's look easy! :) ( MrBeef's not around to comment at the moment, he's wrestling with his 112! LOL!).

It looks great, Biker! When things get too hot down there for ya, you're welcome here any time to work on mine! :)
