Hey guys. I'm usually on the jd part of the forum but had to pick up this package. Hopefully I did well and it serves me well.
It's a lgt 145 with a loader, mower, 2 stage blower, enclosed cab, rear weights, chains, front levelling blade that attaches to the loader as well as original owners manuals as well as some other knick knacks.
I will keep updating this thread as I get into it and fix a couple things it needs. Let me know what you think!

Lookin' Good Chris...:thThumbsU

Welcome to the Ford side of town.

That's a good looking loader! :thThumbsU

You might want to invest in a set of 2-link chains for the rear tires. They will push harder than 4-link chains before breaking traction.

Thanks Tudor. I don't have the slightest clue what the difference is between those types of chains.
I will be picking up the loader tomorrow and will disect it with you pros so we can make sure she gets the best care she needs. I will also post a video of her running so you can give me input on how she sounds. Whether the clacking kind of sound is normal or if the k321 is in need of a refreshing.
I will do a walk around of it and try to show you as much as I can.

The Kohler Klatter is very common to hear. Just the nature of the beast, especially after 40 yrs of dedicated service.Does not seem to hurt anything and not a reason to tear it down unless you are real fussy.

Unfortunately running engine sounds do not reproduce well on u-tube so we may not be able to tell that way.

2-link - Every second link of the circumferential chain has a cross chain.

4-link - Every 4th link on the circumferential chain has a cross chain.

The tractor pictured has 4-link chains.

Thanks again guys. I got my hands on a trailer and I am going to pick it up tomorrow. I will get more pics up as well as go over with you guys and what I need to do to it. Hopefully we can get together and get her back her prime. Looks like I have a electrical issue to find since u turn the key and it clicks and nothing happens. Until u do that like 3 times In a row. There already Is a new starter in there. I think there is a hydraulic line leading which shouldnt be too big of a deal. And I'm sure I will find other things as well.

Hard to get good sound reproduction on u-tube but sound like normal Kohler K Klatter to me.

Good to see it running and lifting.:thThumbsU

The engine is working too hard for that load and the lift is too quick at that rpm.

What size is the pump?

Yea I did think the lift did move up pretty quickly. And I did find it strange the engine does bog down sometimes when lifting the bucket. But it even does that when it's empty so I figured it had to do with those crappy levers on the controls. But I am completely new to this stuff. I will take a look at the pump and see if it says anything on it. Or I will take a picture and post it and maybe you could tell

The controls have little to do with the speed. That's all about flow from the pump.

The target for lifting speed is; from ground to max height in about 7 seconds at 2/3 throttle working speed. Any faster and the risk of over controlling gets pretty high. It's not fun when the front tires start jumping off the ground with 400-500 lb in the bucket.

Engine speed and pump speed should be the same with the correct size pump. With too much flow, make the pump pulley larger in diameter to slow the pump down. The max flow rate for 1/4" hoses is 6 gpm at WOT.

Check around the backside....Looks like the same PA pump as mine.

There may be another number stamped into the edge of the front cap.

In any event, it's a utility pump, and one of several pumps that look the same and have different displacements and maybe different port sizes. It's hard to tell without a number that can be Googled or the manufacturer's coding.

That's quite a bunch you gathered! Full throttle sounded a bit too high rpm to my ear, but my reference is a LGT165 that runs around 2923RPM at full throttle, unloaded. The loader looks similar to a kwikway that I'm trying to move to my Ford. Do you have any idea how much of the loader has to come off to put the mower or thrower on? Is the hydraulic deck lift intact under the tractor? It looks like the subframe does not run across the width of the tractor, but jogs under then runs straight back to the rear axle on each side. I think I need to do the same thing with the loader I have.

Also, the rear weight frame is interesting. It looks like it might be attached where the 3-point hitch arms or sleeve hitch would attach. What holds it up? Is it tied into the hydraulic lift for the mower deck?

How wide is the bucket?

Thanks,

Jim

The subframe runs across the centre of the tractor connecting the two towers together as eel as runs to the back of the tractor and connects to the rear axle with U Bolts. The rear weight bracket looks to be home made which they cut slots into the loader frame at an angle which extends the square tubing up and around to hold the metal plates they used. Intersting setup for sure. IT does look like it would be quite the job to remove the loader to get the mower deck on.
I haven't measured the bucket but I would say its about 40" Wide.
Sorry I haven't update this post as I have been finishing up my JD 400 With 20 Loader that Ive been restoring.

John where should I look for this flywheel tins sound? is that the shroud covering the fan and shaft under the battery?
