Gets pretty lonely in these parts...not alot going on like over in the garden tractor area.

It's that time of year, summer chores are done and winter chores haven't started.

Maybe because some of these machines are just so good? I have seen and read quite a few folks on here that have purchased either new or used ones lately...

Why not--.Start a thread with pictures of what you do with yours--around your area??

Yup, it's the seventh inning stretch(let's go METS!!). For lots of folks it's after lawn care and before snow removal. A good time to visit other forums, and take a look around. There's always something going on around here, always something to share and learn :thThumbsU

It will pick up here again. Wait until the snow flies.

I've just been busy useing mine ! Had to take the wheel of and fix the high low range shift linkage again. Simple 5 minute fix :fing32:

Working in to the night

Just haveing fun

And mowing don't see that often no loader on :hide:

The answer is to not limit yourself to the scut forums. What I do is click on active topics, and I get to look at everything going on. I pay particular attention to the topics that interest me, but I'm not married to any post and can take them or leave them as I like. JD and Wheel Horse, I like it. 8Ns and big tractors, I like'em. Scuts, Cuts, & Uts, give'em to me. Heck, I even found your post.:thThumbsU:thThumbsU

Nick--just look @ the last picture and see the difference in your yard--and the tri-level house next to you...No comparison from this distance-

Looking good Nick. How long did you have to wait after applying Roundup before re-seeding?

You could arguably seed the same day as long as you are using pure glyphosphate with no long term residual effects. In this case I killed that spot mid july and let fallow until seed down mid August. I have seeded successfully in as little as three days in times past.

Well, my yard ends at the lil red maple seeding. I have about an acre and a quarter to convert. So far I've only seeded ~8k sqft. I only seed an area I can water effectively. The spot in front of my house is just 60 days old and will thicken up quite a bit by winter and again by next june.

In between seasons is part of the slow down but I think the bigger part is that people tend to talk a lot when they have complaints and not so much when they have praise.

I bought my BX 2370-1 last fall with the front snow blower, quick mount, 60 inch mower and a Lands Pride 50 inch rear blade and could not be happier.

At purchase I could have had the front end loader but did not really have much need for that attachment or the back hoe. Looking back I should have bought it because now I seem to have all sorts of fun on my machine and could certainly make work with it.

I fired my GC2410 up this weekend to mow the lawn. Hopefully the last time, getting some harder frosts so hopefully the grass will quit growing. But the daytime temps are still super mild here in WI. Other than that it has sat idle for almost 3 weeks now.

I also used it to drive along the driveway to put in the snowstakes for the winter. This winter I may not need them but two winters ago I was able to use them to measure the snow depth. When they disappeared from view I knew it was Deep!

So nothing too glamorous or demanding of photos recently. I am getting ready to make a wheeled rack for the mower deck if I can scrape free the time. There will be a post for that if it is successfully completed.

I use my BX to pull the lawn vac in the fall. Today is gorgeous outside, so I cleaned out the shrubs with the vac. I left the mower on because there are a couple hundred oak leaves still on the trees (no, I didn't count them) so I'll have to go around without the vac, which is now put away, and mulch them up as they come down. It is supposed to be in the 50's here for several days, so I can hold off a bit longer on attaching the snow blower and cab. I like having one tractor to use year-around. The BX fits the bill. :thThumbsU

I fired my BX for the first time in three weeks yesterday, had to load the borrowed rear blade in the owner's truck. The grass has quit and no hint of snow. We have yet to see frost which is unusual.

I used my bx for 3 5x9 trailer loads of fire wood.

Grass is still growing here, but its been so wet that I don't want to drive the bx on it and compress it, I aerated and seeded in sept, looks good, don't want to mess it up, so I cut with the 21", which takes a long time, then I get the bx out and blow off the driveway with the MMM.

I moved about two tri-axle dump truck loads of soil over the past three weekends. I'm done with that now and this weekend I plan to switch over from the loader to the snow blower and put the cab on it.
