ha,ha,ha, your right !!
Todays pics show the snowblower that came on the jd 430 when I bought it a few years ago. I modified it to fit on the jd 455 but only used it once . So now I will build new mounting brackets and modify the driveshaft to fit with the larger 30 in. tall tires.

You have way too many snow removal machines. Think I need to m make a trip and help you create more working space! :sidelaugh

I think Don needs to invest in a NEW snow 'makin' machine.. that way he can have fun year round..

That's true, don't know how he keeps from burying his neighbors! :sidelaugh
maybe the both of them ship it back to CANADA via a train load at a time...

ha,ha,ha !
We did get 2 inches of snow this morning but I will just use the walk behind plow to clean the driveway .
I got the 430 snowblower in the shop and the stock driveshaft will not work. I will have to build new mounting brackets and install a longer driveshaft

ha,ha,
Todays pics show the new mounting bracket built . Next I will remove the old side extensions and build new ones that are 4 inches wider.

did u wind up tippin the rear of blower up some to mount it.. this also would keep the driveshaft straighter in my eyes...

no, the blower had to have the same angle as before so the cutting edge was the same.
The longer driveshaft made the new angle much better.
Todays pics show the new wing extensions built , installed and painted. You can see the old extensions on the floor . Now I have 59 inches wide cut to match the width of the rear tires.:thThumbsU

Don... been thinkin on makin wings on mine too.. turn the 46 into a 54 at the most... prolly make mine higher too.. love the rod support too..

Don, found your thread from another spot. You sir have quite a knack for making and restoring machines. I really enjoyed watching your work! The variety of machines you have makes it even cooler. That lift table is nice. We use a Bend Pack auto lift. Very handy! Looking forward to watching your work!

The blower had wing extensions when I bought it and they had a support bar going across the middle and he said it worked excellent .
The lift table is so nice. Thanks for the kind words.
Todays pics show the Ariens 2 stage snowblower I bought about three years ago. I tweaked it to fit on my jd 455 . I added a old hydraulic motor I had to rotate the spout. Now I will tweak it to fit my jd 455 all wheel steer after I get the cab built for it.

Looking back the first day I bought the jd 430 I already was changing over the small tires to bigger ones. I also built wheel adaptors for the rear axle for the larger rear wheels.

Time top put the rear chains on and then the rear box scraper , then wait for a snow storm to try it all out. Then I will put it up for sale . No use for it now with my new JD x-758 4x4 tractor and 54 in. snowblower.

I pulled the jd 455 all wheel steer and the Ariens two stage snowblower in the shop . I will build a cab for it too before I put it up for sale. Here are pics of the jd 430 with the snowblower , cab and rear scraper . It looks much different now but more useful for winter snow removal . I am going to try to get 5 thousand for it on craigslist. Everything is so expensive I think that is a ok price.

stock boring 430's sell for that here without all the mods and a blower....

Thinking your asking too little Don. Unless you are trying to sell it quickly.

It is a old tractor and I want someone to get it and enjoy it knowing they got it for a half way decent price. It still runs great and strong or I would have put a lower price on it.
I had a lot of fun buying and customizing the garden tractors over the last 2 and a half years. I think this summer I will build a few more models and just putter here and there on the 15 tractors . I will slowly sell ten more of them cheap and keep 5 .I built models for 18 years and it will be fun to build more. The new lift table will be handy for building the big models.
