wondering if this type of connecter has a trade name so i can look around to pickup some more.

they come stock on the electrical actuators i can buy from princess auto and i have two of those so i would like to stick with the type i have, i can buy a 5 pack of m/f from princess for 19.99 but I'm sure online will be cheaper Quick Connect Wiring Ends | Princess Auto but i need a name, to many variations come up when i google electrical quick connects

the pins are normal blade type, one is 90degrees to the other

they are a type of molex connector, but not sure exactly which one. personally I don't like this style because they corrode easily in outdoor environments. I prefer the 2 prong rubber coated ones, look like a smaller trailer plug. plus I can get my hands on those easily as I stock them at work in bulk. :sidelaugh

*note that it is my company so I am not stealing from my employer.

After seeing above that they are a type or Molex connector I googled Molex t shape or something to the sort and came across this:

Original 2 pin Power connector for VHF/UHF Power cords ? Power source side [OEM-T-Male] - $2.99

apparently they come on vhf/uhf radio power leads.
& this: https://www.cumulus-soaring.com/amp.htm

Looks like it will be cheaper to buy the 5pack from princess auto

I will try and keep the connections under the hood of my mower to protect from the elements but I appreciate the insight and the help in identifying the plugs guys

Yep! Ham Radio operators worldwide have come to know and hate the "Molex T" connector! They are cheap when bought in bulk which is why you find them on most mobile radios from Japan and China. Good for up to 10 amps when used in dry,vibration-free applications where the wire in under no strain. As stated above, find good quality connectors desigined for rough-service applications with rubber boots and rated for 25 amps. You'll be much happier in the long run.......and cost less as the better connectors only need to be installed one time. Not replaced constantly due to corrosion and arcing like the molex.

When I scrapped my old Chevy van, many years ago, the entire wiring harness, including connectors, went into a big box. I've used several of the 1, 2, 3, and 4 pole mated connectors for various projects since. Some looked just like yours.

I scrapped a '91 Caravan this summer that got the same treatment. It had some really neat actuators for the power windows that may be just the ticket for snowblower chute controls. I just need the time to check out the possibilities.

I too have saved a few wiring harnesses off old GM trucks the same vintage as mine, and they have saved my butt several times when I needed a particular plug or a section of the harness for the trucks I'm driving...used pieces of the wires on many projects too..

Those connectors pictured above look like the ones they sell for remote jumper cable and winch applications..
