Suburban front axle bolt

Working in a 68 suburban 10

Left front spindle bolt that holes wheel on snapped off.

Before I go trying to drill it out, they didn't do anything stupid like make it left hand thread did they?

It is a left hand thread.

Thank you. I figured it may be. Looks like my grandpa just welded a nut and washer on the end, and I snapped the welds. Knowing forsure it's left handed will ease the remove process.

I was removing the front wheels on a '67 Suburban 10 a few years ago for paint and didn't realize the left front had a left hand thread...snapped it off.

Luckily my neighbor is a machinist, had a lathe and made me a left hand thread bolt.

Ever since then when I remove the left front on any tractor I get gun-shy.
