Well I figured I would try and make one as I can't seem to find one local :)
I started it today and got the lift arms made. I have the measurements I think for all I need except the plate that bolts to the back of the tractor so if anyone has the time and could do me a big favor... I sure could use some measurements :) :fing32:
I had to bend them just a bit to get the right spread between them at the attachment point. I welded some heavy washers on each side of the outer end to beef it up a little..I hope it all will work.
If you see anything I did wrong please let me know or if you have some ideas post them up :trink39:

I've been looking for the same thing. I have the lower arms and lift links just need the base measurements.

I am trying to get the lift links done this week, just need to go pick up a piece of 1/2 " round bar.
Thanks for taking the time to get some measurements for us hamman. :)

Take your time :trink40: I just appreciate you taking the time to help.
thank you

Hamman, go back to your editing program and increase the font size, then crop out part of the handle. Hopefully, that will get it readable.

I did manage to get the hood painted :) not great but it will do. Add the new decals when I get them and then maybe clear coat it.
The broken grill will be fixed next weekend I hope.

And it got a sexy new Kevlar blue belt :)

Again, there are two 3 points for that tractor with two deferent base plates and lift arms. I have both of them and would be more then happy to photograph and measure one if I know which one.

The one on the tractor is model # 917-253060 and the one off the tractor is 917-251780

The picture you posted is the same as the one hamman posted a picture of on page 1 ?
That is the one I would like. They both will fit my tractor ?

Sorry I didn't see the second one in your picture. I am not really fussy on which one :)
Please excuse my ignorance on these hitches as this is all new to me.
The lift rods I made are starting to look like they are to long, I made both pieces from some measurements I got from someone else.
I will look up the part numbers you gave me and have a look, but the one I started to make was the one with the solid four bolt back plate but the other one looks a little easier maybe :)
Ok I just looked at both, they both do the same thing just different mounting system ?

I take it that is just a lighter made unit? Running a tiller is a possibility maybe some day but I want a plow and disc set up.

The arms are half as thick for this one and they bend. I have both sets of arms also. There is also 2 kinds of lift handles.
You could make then weld it to a plate later when you get a tiller.
The arms are 18.25” from center of the hole to center of the hole.

Umaxman

The hitch I have is 917.253061

here is the sears diagram

I was able to get measurements for everything BUT the hitch handle itself as it has bends along multiple axes.

Here is the base plate size itself

Image

This is the base plate WITH holes. Note: on my hitch plate the top holes are for 1/2in diam bolts and the lower holes are for 7/16 bolts.

Image

The base plate has two pieces (extensions) welded to the outside where the hitch handle passes through.

The hitch handle has two lift "ears" welded to it. These connect to the lower lift bars to raise the implement when the handle is pushed forward.

I tried to get measurements for the lift handle, but I couldn't figure a way to show the 3d bending on a 2d screen. Maybe someone else (who has a higher wattage bulb) can help you with that part.

I hope it helps.

Thank you so much mdigby :) that is exactly what I was looking for ...thank you again.
Now if I didn't have to work the next couple of days I could start trying to make this :)
I owe you one :trink40:
The handle I think maybe I might be able to figure it out.

Thanks guys :) cjet69 not sure where I got it but that was one of the first pictures I got ? I found it a very helpful photo.

mdigby, I am also trying to put one of these together. I could use a couple measurements if you have time. one is from the top of base plate to the center of the upper mounting bolt holes. center link mount location from top of base plate to center of hole and the base plate side flange height. I added some line on your pics to show what I need
