I've read some posts on here where folks are asking about the dimensions of some of the JD suitcase weights. I have the 70lbs weights so I went out to the garage last night and measured them. Here's a .pdf drawing of the JD 70lbs suitcase weight dimensions. Note that the tang or "Tooth" on the end of the weights are always a bit narrower than the weight itself. Anyway, this drawing should answer all of your size questions for the 72lbs weights.
