Deck removal on 530

I just finished removing the deck off my new 530 and what a pain in the a...s. According to the manual, after removing the belt, disengaging the various connectors, you just have to pull the deck out from under the tractor. Ya..right!
The deck is wider then the span between the front and rear tires. I wiggled and pulled and turned the deck, but it would not come out. The width of the deck from the front roller wheels to the rear pulley for the belt, is too wide. The only way I could get it off and then back on, was to jack up the right front tire enough to allow the roller wheels to slide under the tractor.
Am I missing something?

It is a tight fit, but you should be able to slide the deck right out from under the tractor. I pull on mine from the left side, with the pulley tensioner in the fully detention position (it takes up less space when not in the tensioned position).

I noticed that if you pull it from the right side (the chute side) that the tensioner spring hits the rear tire on the way through.

If you turn the front wheels full it will just slide out !!

If you're pulling the deck out on the right side, turn the steering wheel full stop left, and if you're pulling it out the left side turn it full stop right. It should then have enough clearance to slide out.
