1st question: Stupid question, but when looking at the pully on a 3415 hydro, does it turn cw OR ccw?
2nd question: There are two covers on the hydro "Block" (on the left side of the hydro). Are these for powering a hydraulic lift? Thinking of taking the piston and valve off of my MTD 995 and putting them on here with a 3 point hitch. A fuel-efficient, modernized, sturdy GT. Now there's a concept! (Check out my build thread!)

The pulley will turn CW, and the 'block' is where you get to your valves. The Vickers was not used for auxiliary hydro power on Simplicity's. The 3400 series 'power lift' option was electric.

It would be interesting to know if the Vickers could power something like a lift or power steering cylinder.

Here is a manual for a Vickers hydro that shows the hydro implement lift circuit.

I don't know if it's the correct hydro or if Vickers made more than one model of hydro. This copy can be found in the stickies of the Hydraulics forum.

I'll snap a picture of my Vickers service manual tonite...the configuration is different than what Gilson used. It is a T66...not sure if the pump model is different or not (sample from a Simplicity - T66X-2AS4-10-503)
