A deck from a GT 2550 looks like it may work. I would reference the parts diagrams from the two tractors and make sure the tractor frame, deck hangers, and pto pulley system are similar before pulling the trigger on one. Attached is a link for the parts diagrams.

Around me, north central Florida, there are more than a few used mower dealers. But they don't appear to advertise. So how to find one? I guess just look around. Look especially on old main routes that have been bypassed by an Interstate Highway or a fringe part of your town that has seen better days. Good luck.

I bought the 2544 and have used that ever since.

Will the rear bagger fit as well? The mulching cap? I'm thinking my 15 year old deck will eventually nee replaced.

 

Just curious how rusted out it is. I have a 2544. If it had a rusted thru place on the deck, I would go to great lengths to have it repaired before I would junk it.

 

Its pretty bad rust-wise, mainly around the mounting area for the blades / spindles. I've thought about welding it but it is a large area, the metal is curved and thin in general because of the rust.
