224 Rescued On It's Way To The Salvage Yard

A co-worker of mine called me yesterday and asked if I had a snowblower for my Case 446? I told him I did and asked why he wanted to know? He said he was getting rid of his old Case 224 (broken engine??) and thought I could use the snowblower that he had. I asked him what he was doing with the machine and he said he had to get it out of the garage that evening (he sold his place) and was taking it to a salvage yard. I told him I would take it if he was just looking for a place to drop it off!
When I got home after work this was in my driveway!

Many of us would like to find that package sitting in our driveway when we came home, especially for free.

The snocaster is worth $200.00 minimum all day long and the wheel weights would likely bring close to $100.00.

I'd be removing the spark plug and shoving a length of coathanger wire inside the bore to see if it rises and falls when I rotate the engine by hand. Even if the engine needs a rebuild, the end result justifies the expense.

Clearly there has been a mistake. I repeated my address and directions on how to find my place twice over the phone to your friend. No problem though, I'll be happy to come get it from your place so you can get in and out of your driveway. Sorry for the inconvenience.... :duh:
