just got back from the plow day! pics will be up soon!!

Are you the oficial reporter for the day Will, too bad I missed it if it was that big of an event!

haha hes the only one with pics! my camera got left outside at my grandpas and james is driving home

Pictures! James will be along soon with some more pics and info, and i assume hugh will post some too once he has his camera. Considering it was virgin soil, with lots of rocks and roots, the ol' Sears tractors did alright. It will take a while before it is plantable, but this is a start:

More pics to follow! Once James and Hugh roll over here, there will be more!

Yep, that is New England dirt for sure! The sad part, is that you KNOW that has been plowed before too!

Hey, not to be mean or pick on any tractors or anything, but have y'all Sear's guys ever noticed that, well... I mean...??

Im not sure its been plowed in the last 100 years. the dirt is nice and dark and nutrient rich by the looks of it, however, its super rocky, and its super rooty. the grass certainly didnt help either

Derogatory Comment?!?!?!?!?

just kidding, its not a beaut, but it does work! i was pulling the 10" plow with 60# on the back in 2H at idle

That is sure tuff looking soil for sure. Looks like yalls soil has alot of clay in it. Our soil here has alot of clay, but is more of a loamy clay and doesn't really clod up that bad. But I can see it being that way if it hasn't been plowed in 100 years. Looks like yall had fun!
