What Oil Filters is everyone else using? On your tractors, cars, trucks?
I'm a bit of an oil fanatic so I can be rather picky with my filters. OEM filters aren't really my thing, you can usually buy better quality for less money by going aftermarket.
For my mowers and my truck, I really liked the Hastings brand filters, but I can't find them locally anymore. From Hastings I switched to NAPA Gold (basically a WIX) but then my local NAPA went out of business. Now I'm using the CarQuest brand filters from what was formerly CarQuest, but is now Advance Auto. They are also made by WIX for Advance Auto, like the NAPA filters.
I also have used Purolators on/off for years. I have used them on my Toyotas almost every oil change. The Purolator Classics are a nice, cheap filter that is well made in the USA. The PureOne is a very high quality filter at an affordable price. The old gold cans looked good on my Cub Cadet too. The classics used to be white and are now red, and the PureOne used to be gold and is now blue.
On my BMW, I only use the OEM German-made Mahle/Mann Filters. The are reportedly the best filter for the application according to most BMW guys.
What is everyone else running on their cars/trucks/tractors?
