Hey guys, been busy with a new job and have not had time to spend on here like I use to. Anyway, I dragged my feet last year with getting an MCS and now the time has come. I am going to go Deere with the MC519 cart. I have a few questions in general. I am hearing conflicting information about what comes with the power flow as some say the pulley and shield is included with it.

Do you still need brackets to mount the power flow to my 54" HC deck?

Do the double pulley/jack sheave come with the power flow or do I need those separately?

Does the black cover come with the MC519 Cart?

Below are the parts I have in the cart ready to order pending anything else I need for a complete setup:

BG20867 - Power Flow for 54"HC Deck
BM20855 - MC519 Chute
LP52039 - MC519 Adapter kit to x758
LP49228 - MC519 Cart

Right now is Gear Up For Fall promotion so everything is 15% off. The 4 above items are $1,600 delivered to my house right now so looking to pulling the trigger this weekend.

Got a quote today from local dealer, and of course they must be confused as they quoted me $2,500 before install.......

Any other parts needed?

I recently replaced the Powerflow head for my X748. All I thought I would get would be the housing, turbine, and drive assembly, but I got the heavy "Z"-shaped bar, plus the small steel bracket it fits into that bolts to the front of the deck. I also got the double sheave that goes on the right-hand blade shaft, and the belt guard.

Does the cover for the MC519 and its chute receiver come with the cart?
I'm not sure, but I doubt it, since the cart can be used without the Powerflow system. Here's what it all looks like in place, this is mine right after I got it. I bought my Powerflow setup with the tractor. I finally replaced the powerflow head after wearing a hole in the bottom of the housing and repairing it several times with aluminum flashing sheet and pop rivets. I got ten years of hard service from the powerflow head.

Make sure the mounting pins and brackets come with the MC519 adapter kit. When you attach the U-shaped bar to the tongue of the cart, offset it just enough that the chute from the Powerflow head misses the right fender. There are two rows of bolt holes so the cart can be made to sit level.

Thank you much. I was under the impression the pulley and bracket did come with the power flow as you mentioned. 1 dealer said it did, next dealer said it would have to be purchased separately.

You ever use front suitcase weights 9or need them with MCS?

I am going to see if I can find the MC519 on the JD parts lookup and see if the cover comes with it or not or how much it is.

Hey guys, just to follow up I ordered the power flow system today. Looks like the pulley and bracket and everything came with the power flow. Looks like the 4 original part numbers listed in my original post is everything you need. Ordered online and got the 15% Gear Up For Fall and being delivered to local terminal end of next week.

Pretty good deal right now as package delivered was $1,650.00

Awesome! You'll love it once you get it installed.

I can't remember for sure, but the two large pins the MC519 cart attaches to bolt in place down on the rear part of the frame in the same location that the lift arms for the 3-point hitch go. If you have the 3-point hitch, you need a different set of pins; they replace the bolt-on pins with removable pins used to hold the lift arm in place, but still have the large head the MC519 latch fits over. You have to remove the 3-point lift arms when using the MC519 cart, the lower pins are held by a large clip keeper, remove the arms and reinsert the pins in their spot.

If you don't have the 3-point hitch, never mind, but if you get one later, you'll need the pins that allow both the hitch and MC519 to be used. Hope the pics help, don't know it this is TMI for you. I added my 3-point hitch after I got my Powerflow.

One other thing for future reference; the castering wheels on the cart will take a beating. Keep them greased well so the bearings don't freeze up, and keep an eye on the dust seals around the casters' swivel bearings. I wish Deere had made the ties solid instead of inflatable. If you puncture one, they're a bear to get on and off the wheel because they're so small. You might consider filling them with Slime from the beginning. The tread will last longer than the sidewalls, they'll dry rot before they wear out the tread.
