Pulled the trigger on this instead of the little loader, couldn’t pass it up, cheaper than a 1025 to boot

The owner of the saw shop I go to has one with a lean-to full of attachments. He is very happy with his. I have the impression it wears a grapple most of the time. Nice to find a used one at a good price.

If you don't have much time running it, be careful they spin quick and with load lifted can tip when you slow down fast. Only ever been in one when I was young to clean out a barn, a lot of fun but it could get away from you quick.

Had an early version do do ground work for driveway, moving old garage out of way for house addition, back filling, final dirt leveling in the yard had it for about 3 years. Rebuilt the front arm cylinders and the bucket. Lots of weekend Play (Work) done.

I believe cat358B means that a norrow bucket will have you trying to get close to work and running over things with your tires, damaging whatever you hit or possibly damaging your tires or machine. I could be totally off base too.

Keep in mind that a lighter, thinner material, cheaper bucket will flex and bow from lifting heavy loads, been there, done that. We were doing a lot of concrete demolition with it to though.

Yep, that’s what I meant.
You mentioned a 60” bucket for a 64” wide machine.
Backfilling along a curb or a building? Get too close and the tires are rubbing. Trying to grade an area? Tires are riding on dirt left outside of what you’re cutting or filling. Not a recipe for success.
With your current setup, you’re running 4” wider per side than your tires. You won’t bounce over a rock kicked to the side when grading.
Unless you have a width restriction, I see no reason to get a narrower bucket. You mention the bucket being huge. Is it a low profile dirt bucket, or something else?
