Didn't want to post this but you strike me as a guy that likes to do things right.

I'd be cautious with those telephone poles, at least until you are certain what/how they were preserved.

Also, I'd recommend some research on designing/building pole barns, to that end, check out the following site. This place likely has the most/best designed building out there, and the guy offers a lot of good advice, if you can get by the constant pitch for his buildings. :)

And good luck with the project,

Good afternoon Jere. Very nice to hear from you with the reach out. Had a very nice fourth. Went up Friday to NH to see the folks and Brothers. Went up on the MTN Friday around 4 and helped Stephen cut up some maple and fell antoher large one. Got to run the freshly (by Joe) rebuilt 272xp with the 24" bar. Very powerful saw and ran awesome.

I have not been on the forum much at all, so busy with stuff around the house and the added responsibility of Facility Maint. Manager at work is a big Job.
That added to the fact I keep forgetting to take photos lately of any work I do pertaining to wood cutting.
Hope your 4th was pleasant Jere.

I will try to get on a bit more as I get caught up a bit.
