I'm fabricating an attachment for my plow,..need to know the name for the spring loaded pins that hold the blower on...need to get some.....

#2 ·
What model of tractor, and what model/size of blower would go with it? With that information, it's not too hard to go to JD Parts online and look up the exact name and its JD part number....

This is a bracket welded to the snowblower mounting plate, pull the spring loaded pin, turn it to keep it in place when attaching the blower, then turn the spring loaded pin and it pops into the tractor front mounting hole, any one with a 316 or 318 and a blower knows what this is....went on jd parts online and cannot bring up a single diagram...

This is the bracket I'm assuming you are talking about, for a Quick-Tach 318 blower... Bracket is #18, is the pin you're talking about #s 11,13, and 14?...

It was just a guess LTG :dunno: What say he ???

Parts 13, 14, and 15 are part of it, also wanted the small bracket that is welded to the sideplate that the pins go through, that way, I can drill a hole in my homemade mounting, weld the bracket and pin assembly and this would be similar to the top mounting pins on the pictured snowblower,...I was hoping for an aftermarket source to buy the pin/bracket asembly....JD does not show a number for the weld on part.....thanks

#14 ·
That's likely because its included in 16, the frame... Sounds like your best bet then may be those ones that RealBiker posted the link to, from AgriSupply.... You could either weld them on as is, or cut the bottom of the enclosing piece off and weld them a bit shorter....

I went to the JD parts site at http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.HomePageServlet_Alt

Chose Model Search

Put 49 into the Model blank and checked "Exact Search", clicked Find, that brought up the listing for the 1080 - 49-Inch Tractor-Mounted Snow Throwers - 30Aug01

Expanded that one out using the "+" to the left of it

Chose Sectional Index, selected 12 - Tractor Mount and Idler, that brought up the diagram. Right-clicked over the diagram and chose Copy Image Address (that might be a slightly different selection depending on what browser you are using),

then went to a new post on MTF, inserted an image using the Insert Image tool (looks like a little picture of a mountain) and pasted the address for that diagram into the Insert Image blank....

Then I went back to the Sectional index and copied the whole list of part numbers, pasted it into the post under the diagram....

Get a crapped out #49 blower ( certainly should be some) and cut them off and you will have ALL the parts.
