Maybe it's old news, but Massey does now offer a quick attached bucket options on the GC1700 series.
.

I also stumbled upon a Massey price list. Looks like they might also have an SSQA option (not sure if thats for the 1700 series or fits the GC1700 also). But there is a 54" loader bucket, and a 16" backhoe bucket available for the GCs.

Interesting. You lose a couple degrees of roll back on your curl, probably not noticeable. I know they want their accessories and attachments to be proprietary, but I think I would make (or have made) a skidsteer quikattach plate made up. More (and cheaper maybe?) alternatives that way.

The pin on type adapter is cheaper, and I am sure lighter weight. These are little tractors, and by having a QA adapter of any sort is moving the bucket further out, so you are already losing some lift capacity, so the weight may matter to some.

I just went to agcopartsbook, and didnt find either QA adapter mentioned. However, under the DL95 loader, I did see the 48 and 54" bucket options, as well as a bale spear option (tractor seems to small for a bale spear...unless they are small bales!), and a couple of pallet fork options, one pin on style, on ssqa. Add the price list I attached in the first post, it really makes me think they now have an SSQA option for the GCs...just no one knows about it...Though they are not showing any ssqa buckets.

????

You still have to get off the tractor to either pull or install 2 pins. It really doesn't take that much longer to pull and install all 4 pins. I've done it dozens of times with my GT loader and its 3 different buckets, forks, and high lift platform.

For some, saving a few minutes of work is important, and can add up over time. Personally, I think an SSQA would be better, giving you the option to adapt to a larger variety of equipment form more manufacturers.

I did get a note back from my dealer. The part number for the pin type quick attach is 72533918M and its 41 lbs. Currently sells for ~$339. That's pricing here in CT.

There is currently no SSQA adapter for the DL95. The pin on forks in the agcopartsbook shows as "no longer available" in his dealer price book. He sent a message off to Massey to see whats up. Maybe the forks are coming in the near future...?

I just ordered the SSQA for my DL95 loader so apparently it's now available?

Geez I miss my SCUT days. The adapter for my LA852 Kubota loader is flirting with $900 these days.

I like SSQA not only because ease and time savings, but also the universality (is that a word?) of it. It’s nice to be able to borrow friends’ attachments (log splitter, different size/type buckets for rocks or trenching or whatever, root ripping finger thing, etc) and they just fit right to your machine.

Well my SSQA finally came in. Got around to installing it late last week. Love it so far but, as of now, I have no other attachments. It's a start. I elected to just get the proper bucket as well. It actually ended up being a little cheaper that way and I can either go back if I want to (not sure why I would) or sell the original bucket if I can find anyone that actually needs one. Step one done, next is the forks.

Yeah, I have a set of those. I'll be glad to sell them. They work great if you can keep them tight.

Where they attach to the bucket. I don't have the cross member. They would work much better if I had the cross member, I'm sure. Still, they do tend to put the load way out in front of the tractor a bit too far. Hasn't really been an issue for for lighter stuff though (I've lifted my 4 foot tiller and my 48" mower deck with them). I'll be using them this week because I'm cutting trees in a field a mile down the road so I'll just take the tractor and bolt on forks to clear the brush out of the field. They'll work great for that and the tractor works much faster than I. Now that I have the SSQA though, I just want to complete the picture.

What I wish I could find is some bolt on hooks that have a 2 3/4" mounting plate. Everything I see (including the ones I just bought) have plates that are 3 1/4". Too big for the top of the Massey bucket. If I had any confidence in my own welding I would just weld a couple on and be done with it. I had that done on the original bucket by the dealer when I bought the tractor. I just don't weld enough to trust my bubble gum.

I love mine. I started with a 2013 GC1705. It was a great machine for the 5 years I owned it. It came to the point where I needed a backhoe for a project and figured, may as well trade up so I got the GC1720TLB. Now, the 1705 did everything I asked it to without issue. Mostly snow removal and firewood duty. I ran a 4 foot brush hog with it as well. It really depends on what you want to do. These little machines are handy as anything but they do have limits as anyone will tell you. I traded my 4 foot brush hog to my brother for his 40" brush hog because he had more ground to cover and mine was mostly mowing trails. The 1720 handles either without any issues and I also run a 48" tiller with the 1720 as well. I'm sure the 1705 would have handled that as well but I didn't have it then. I almost wish I had kept the 1705 and put a belly mower on it.
