found it on craigslist. $1550 is what he is asking. 840 hours on it. is there any thing specific i should look at while inspecting to make sure its a good one. i feel the price is goos, but not if its a lemon. i'm not familiar enough with these to no the common issues. thanks in advance.

Drive it around. Go max speed forward and max speed back. Forward should be much faster than reverse. The 325 I picked up had an issue where the forward speed was limited. I eventually found the problem, which required something like a $2 part and lots of elbow greece.

Also, check the steering for looseness or tightness. My steering was pretty loose. It's tight now though, although I may want to make it tighter yet.

Make sure the PTO clutch works by engaging the mower deck. My PTO clutch had to be replaced, but I knew that when I picked the tractor up.

My 325 also had quite a bit of cosmetic issues, such as busted hood and torn seat. But it runs well.

The 325 is a nice tractor. If you get this one, be sure to post pics.

I got my 325 last December. I rolled the lawn last week with no problems. I did notice with my 17hp single that I need to keep the rpm 2/3 of the way up. It's not quite as smooth as the 18hp but for the deal that I got I have absolutely no complaints. Highly recommend a front blade. I have the 46" and now that I have used a hydraulic lift I will never go back to a manual or even a winch assisted one.

Check your trans level in the back. I had to add some oil to my steering box under the hood. It was a pain to get the fill screw loosened.

Congrats though! You should have a machine to enjoy for many years.

Your tractor's worst side looks a whole lot better than the best side of the one I brought home.

The bumper on the GX255 is different then the bumper on the 325.
