Hello all,
Do any of you use WIX filters on your x728. I cross referenced the hydraulic filter to WIX 51394, but am struggling to find the engine filter. Can anybody help me out?

Thanks!

I don't have a x728 but I have a 955 which has a hydrostat. I would be careful about using a Wix hydrostat filter. I did that because it was 1/2 the price and the numbers X refd. Shortly after changing it I started having problems, like very slow hydraulics, slower on the road and it seemed like there was more pump noise. Changed the filter back to a JD and no change. All kinds of thoughts went my mind busy. Long story short, I put a gauge on the scavenger pump out put and found that at low rpm pressure was ok but the higher rpm the pressure dropped off. So, checked the pick up screen and found most of the wix filter plugging my pick up. Cleaned it out and problem solved. Do as you please but for me, never cheap out on a filter.

Wix filters are some of these best filters made. I have been using them across all applications for decades. There is no reason to stay with stock filters. I have wix oil, fuel, and hydraulic filters on my 2025. No problems.

Go to Wix website to find the proper filter for your application.

Both WIX and Deere offer good filters. Depending on the source for your Wix filters double check the price at Deere. Recently the two local auto parts stores have been running 15-25% higher on filters than Deere. This time of year some dealers run specials on filters/blades/etc.
