Any help? What fluid and how much do I put in the transaxle?

"Use 24 oz of E.P. Lithium grease (1 1/2 pints)"

I was wondering, because there is a drain plug under the transaxle and a filler under the seat like it takes some type of oil not grease.

I run cub cadet hy-tran in my sons 383 hydro. Is yours red or yellow and white? Where ar eyo uin PA i have and extra 11 briggs from a 382 that will work nice in it. Also we want pictures.

It is red, I am in Girard,Pa (10-15 miles southeast of Erie,Pa) It has the drive lever on the dash.

I'm south of you near Hermitage. I asked because you said IH cub cadet. If it's red it would be a international cadet. That's cool I really like the red ones best.

These are great tractors!! I also love the red ones!! What oil is equal to the oil you use in your hydro? because I dont have a case dealer close to me. I am going to re paint it in IH red to give it some shine. and :thanku: for the help.

Just go to Tractor Supply or Farm and Fleet and buy a gallon of hy-tran. It's like 15 bucks for a gallon it will work just fine in it.

Ok, Now all I need is a battery to get it going, After that I will change all the fluids, spark plug, and air cleaner, then I will re-paint it.

Also I cant find Hy-tran on TSC.com

This is the trans fluid hes talking about at tsc. It's not the real HY-TRAN but the bottle claims it meets the hy-tran spec. Some people swear that you must use the real IH/CASE hy-tran and some others think it doesn't matter. You can read all about all over the internet until your eyes pop out.

No that's rustoleum antique white, It's a lot cheaper than IH or CC paint and coats way better. Valspar at the farm store is a little bit more and coats pretty good it's like $5.50 a can and the rustoleum is 4 bucks a can at walmart. CC or IH paint is 15 bucks a can and not worth it. The last can I bought from the dealer was the wrong color in the can when I went to use it, and they wouldn't take it back because I used it. I asked how I was supposed to figure out that it had the wrong color with out spraying it. He said that the have a no return policy on a can that has been sprayed. Needless to say that was and will be the last can of paint I buy from the CC dealer. Here's a couplr picture's of his deck I restored a couple months ago and I used valspar IH white on it.

I will have to look at my cub cadet dealer for hy-trans, My TSC has the IH paints in both colors for $5.50 a can so I think I will get that (want to try to keep it original on paint) I also plan on putting Ag's on the back and the ribbed on the front.
