Hey everyone,

I just wanted to send a little hey-hey out there. I haven't been very active at all for the past year or two. Unemployment is kicking my tail, trying to stay busy with odd jobs and only heating one part of the house to save money. The workshop has been shut down for a long time.

The past month though, I've been making myself get down there and work on the LB's again. Here's my status:

The L21ZPNC: Have it completely stripped down to the deck. Cleaning everything there is to clean, then sanding and repainting the deck.

The IH -- finally tracked down a D600 engine. As soon as the L21 is done, I'm going to start on this one. It is already disassembled (all parts in labeled baggies and basically waiting for paint.

One thing I do need before I can move much further is a 21" non-self propel height adjuster. Having trouble tracking one of those down -- its the kind with the single lever for the rear axle.

So that's it in a nutshell. I just need to get motivated and start DOING stuff. I really wanted to touch base because I feel like the only reason I've posted lately is to say "I need this" or "someone help me with that" and I haven't really contributed much...

I really hope the economy improves to actually reduce this unemployment.

The present government is just juggling numbers around; to lead us to believe things are OK. It is not.

We all will benefit from a strong economy.

I wish you all the luck.

I was unemployed from March until this year, got a PT job at the end of Jan. WAY in the hole right now with mortgage company and everyone else, but hoping there's light at the end of the tunnel. I've kept my sanity by selling/trading and trading up stuff on Craigslist. Actually scored a nice Sears SS12 by trading a good video camera. With implements! :thThumbsU

Good idea to work on the mowers, helps keep you sane!

Murph--I might have one of those adjusters burning a hole in the second floor of my shed. Send me a PM when you see this to remind me to go out there later and see. It's 5:30 a.m. and 4 degrees right now, so you gonna have to wait 'til the sun comes up!

Ouch, and I was complaining about 30 this morning. Been cutting trees for several hours and on break now. Looking like a decent day after the fog cleared.

Murph hang in there, Ive been on that tight rope more than a few times in my life,....The good Lord always finds a way for us.

I have the non-self propelled height adjuster, but don't know if it's 19 or 21. Forgot to check that out. Anyway, I'll take a look in the next day or so. Looks like it's all built in to the handle mount, right?

I still have to verify that it's a 21 inch. Yes the handle brackets are all a permanent part of the assembly. I'll try and do that tomorrow and get back.

Brad: A very overdue THANK YOU for helping me out with the parts I needed!

If anyone here has not yet met Brad, make a point to visit sometime. A genuinely great guy filled with great knowledge and conversation -- much like the guy we know from this little corner of the internet.

Thanks to Brad's generosity and knowledge, the IHLB project is once again moving forward! I tracked down some Cub Cadet yellow paint (every place around here was out for some reason...) and have the first few coats of yellow laid down.

Photos soon....
