Okay guys so I talked to the owner of the x728. My deal seemed to good to be true. Apparently the other day when him and I were talking there was a mix up when he said 8,000 and I thought he said 7. When I asked him if he would go lower than 7 he said he couldn't do 7. I was kind of taken back when he said that. I asked him if he remembered saying he would take 7 and he said no. He said he was going to accept 8 when him and I first talked. He stated his local dealer offered him 7,400 and he turned it down. He stated if he took 7 for it he would be taking a huge loss. I said well for all the mix up and confusion would you take 7,500 for it and he accepted it.

I knew it was almost to good to be true. Would you guys do it for 7,500? It still seems like a good deal. But apparently our communication between each other isn't that great. We both seem to be on the same page now thought. I will say that as I was on the phone with him for some time today.

$7500 is a good price I think, I would go for it if I was looking for one. My dealer just gave me 9k for my tractor with a front qh, front 2k pto, mower and 3 pt for trade in and it has 220 hrs, so I think its a good price You will definitely be happy with that tractor. If you want a rear pto for it, I just happen to know where one is sitting for that exact tractor...

I am waiting to hear back from the bank to see what they can do for me. I may want a rear pto. If I could find a cheap nice harley rake for the x728 for when I am finishing my yard that would just be awesome. But I doubt it will happen.

Yeah it would be pretty cool, but cheap and harley rake are not something that usually go together. I am trading my tractor in on a 1025R and my dealer pretty much let me strip the tractor of all the add ons I installed. I bought the PTO in the summer of 2012 and installed it so I could till my garden that fall. Really a great attachment. Good luck, hopefully it is good news and you will be on your way to a new toy, erhh I mean piece of equipment!

-IMHO $7500 seems a little on the high side for a used mower with no deck or attachments. But if the dealer was gonna give $7400 it might be worth that. If I was going to borrow that kind of money I would be strongly considering a new machine at 0% financing.

He just says the dealer would give him that.
But then again, I'm kind of a skeptic.

If you subtract the cost of the 3pt hitch and the weights, probably in the $1000 range, $6,500 and no tax is pretty good deal (to me anyway), for a 20 hour machine. I wish I could have found that deal around here a year ago. JMHO.

Kind of what I was thinking.
