I have a 1952 Ferguson TO30 with a cracked block. It leaks coolant out the exhaust.

I pulled the head off, had it pressure checked and it's still good.

I can see a hairline crack in the cast iron block segment between two cylinder chambers. The cylinders are lined with steel sleeves and they are still good.

Is there any hope to repair this Z128 engine without replacing the block?
I replaced the head gasket and put it back together but it still blows a cloud out the exhaust, indicating coolant leak into the chamber(s)

If the head and head gasket are good and the steel sleeves are still good, where is the coolant getting into the cylinder chamber?

Any comments or instructions will be appreciated.

This is typical with the Z129 engine. don't know about fixing it. I have sold good blocks to people with this problem. You might be able to send out to a welding shop and see if they can weld it. It has to be heated up in an oven to be welded and there's not much meat there. You can try some jb weld and hope for the best. Keep checking you temp gauge and Check to make sure your not getting water in the oil. Not good for the bearings. Best to swap out the block.

There was a repair kit sold by the dealer that consisted of jig, 3 threaded rods, rubber gaskets, washers, and nuts. You drill holes through the block and place the rods through block and tighten it down to squeeze the crack shut.
