DIY dump cart -> 3 point hitch cart

Hey, folks, I need to transport some things around the farm. I have a Ford 8N, so no front loader. I do have several steel dump carts, however, (the kind that you pull behind a lawn mower) and I thought it might be easy enough to adapt one to a 3-point hitch. I only have a small welder, so I was going to use bolts and nuts, if needed.

I thought about making a floating dump cart, by removing the wheels and handle from the cart and drilling holes on the side corner bottom, to bolt in a hitch bolt, on either side. Think this: if you are looking inside the cart box from behind, all the way inside, to the back, on the left and right, drilling holes that face out the left and right side. Stick a hitch bolt with a hole in it in each hole, with the part of the bolt that has a hole in it sticking out, and screw the nut on the inside.

An option would be to re-use the dump cart axle, and stick it all the way along the back inside corner, from left to right, then drill a hole for the hitch arm on each side. Then, cut off the hitch part where the cart attaches to a mower, and drill a big hole in that, for the top link, and then bolt the rest of it to the inside of the cart back.

Do you think this will work? (I'm not an artist)

It will work. You should add reinforce angle to bottom and up the back for the top link. Those carts are made of thin metal don't think they would support much weight just attaching to end of the cart. The bottom hitch width should be 26" wide and the top link hitch should be up 18". See chart below.

I used a wheel barrow mounted to the 3 point but am sure you could use a similar mount for a small trailer either. By making the frame underneath to support it you do not need to make the actual box any stronger than it is.
I will try and get some better pics but this will show you the idea. Depending on the size of the box will determine how heavy the frame would have to be.
