I just recently got finished installing an in ground kiddie pool. Why in ground. The wife thought it would look nicer that way. Not a problem, more seat time for me.

The hole is 8' wide by 2' deep. The tub is actually a cattle trough from TSC. I got it used for $50 (prior owners used it as a pool also). It holds 650 gallons. Since I just recently finished a foldable hard top and installed a small pump filter to help circulate the cholrine and keep the dirt out.

This project would have taken forever had I not had my new toothbar. Even with it, I still needed to swing the old pick a bit (sheets of ironstone).

Thought you all might get a kick out of it. Here are some pics. Enjoy!

Funny you should mention the pump. My brother in law gave me the one off his 45000 gallon quickset pool. It can filter the entire pool in about 10 minutes. Needless to say, I don't have the kids in it when it is on.

I figure when the kids get to big for it, I can turn it into a decorative fish pond.:thThumbsU

TPS,
I have had the BX about 1 year now and have about 100hrs. I bought the teeth and shanks on ebay. I had a guy at work weld it up for me. My total investment was about $130. It makes a big difference when digging in hard ground. The box blade has served me well. It is a good fit for the older bx models. As you can see in the pcitures, I added extra weight to it. Thos are 2 5 gallon buckets filled with rocks. It really makes the machine feel stable.

Thanks for the reply kw wolfe,
I will keep an eye out for a toothbar. Also I noticed the boxblade, is it a 48" blade? I can not find that particular brand in my area, did you get it on E-Bay also? What does it weigh w/o the buckets? Good idea on the extra weight though. Thanks.

I have heard that Markham Welding makes a nice toothbar. Runs $200 delivered. The box blade is 48". It is a Farm Force from Tractor Supply Co. It is exactly the same as the King Kutter XB except has a different name on it. The blade with the rippers runs 300lbs. I figure each bucket adds about 80lbs or so. Really makes a difference when moving heavy stuff with the loader.

:thThumbsU it look cool for that project you did. Well you can get very cheap is old corn metal some name?

Someone use old corn can or some name I don't know but he use that for pool it cost his 100 dollars for that. It was huge than 10 feet wide plus deep should be 6 feets. It was found in farmer magazine.

Just as a side note to everyone, you may be able to get a few bucks off at some TSCs. I read about another poster who got 10% off his box blade because it had some rust on it. I tried the same thing and what do know...got 10% off. That amounted to about $40. Every little bit helps.

I have one more question, did you have to turn the pins on the box blade inside to hook them up on the 1500 or is the 3pt wide enough to hook up with the pins ont the outside? I heard that you have to reverse the pins because the 1500 is not quite wide enough. True or no? Thanks-TPS
