Temp here is about 20 degrees wanted to move it.Started it up let engine run. When I let off the brake engine dies.I tried to rock it it would move when I released and stepped on brake.I guess the oil in transmission is thick, but anyone have any ideas it would be greatly appreciated. It's the model with the Kohler,54" auto trans. The last time I used it the temp was in the 60's and it worked fine.Usually when it sets a while it won't move when I let off the brake pedal untill it warms up.Thanks

i think in order to get that tractor to roll not running there is a lever in the back by the hitch that you need to pull to release the pressure.... but otherwise i'd check to make sure that your drive belt is where its suppose to be on your pullies and nothing binding it.... if that all checks out put the tractor where there is some heat if you can... otherwise i'm baffled like you are to... i'm not very familiar with hydros

I tried the realease in the back.I actually had to use the car to tow it where I wanted it.The drive pedal is a little firmer than in warmer weather. It has been sitting for about 2 months ,and it has done this before but after it warms up it's always moved.I've acually never tried to move it when it's this cold. Here in VA like most everywhere else no releif in sight.thanks

The engine runs fine. The tractor will move when I step on the drive pedal,as I let off the brake, but the engine will die if I don't press the brake pedal quickly. Now I'm a little worried. It'a tuff Torque by the way.If I'm not mistaken I think I've read on other forums that the factories use a 20w-50 engine oil.I could be wrong however. But if that's so IMO that's a heavy oil for the 8-25 degree weather we've had here. Thanks so much for the help though.Only thing that buggs me is it will be 3-4 days before I can do anything else.I did see it was gonna be in the 40's here thursday ,a heat wave! finnaly.

Well, is the engine stalling because of the hydro, or it stalling because it's cold and not warmed up enough to take a load. Try leaving the choke on most of the way and see what happens.
TT recommends (if I remember right) 5-50 synthetic oil.

I changed the trans-axle oil at 100hrs with 20-50 synthetic, it made a big difference when warning it up, in the cold. I have close to 200hrs on mine and still running great
Just plowed about 8" of snow out a few days ago.
