I was just about to make a comment about the gravity in MN.

There are many levels of restored. Some cost way more than $800 to do.

 

Looks pretty slick! It has $250 woth of weights and headlights, and a pretty slick paintjob. I'd price it at $789...$800 if he had managed not to put the headlights in diagonally.

ABC, i think it has 2 sets of wheel weights, plus the head lights.. i know that 2 sets of weights are $125 each for a total of 250. plus the lights and fenders

 

i'd still like to see what the seller calls "restored".... I see more and more on ebay giving something a paint job and calling it "restored". I know what I've spent on my 127 and it's no where near a full restore, just back to good working order.

Thanks for the info on the weights - didn't know they were worth that. The guy says the entire thing has been gone through including the engine.

Would I need the weights for mowing? Or are they just needed for snow blowing etc?

 

Weights are great for everything, but wouldn't be needed mowing. Still they could be used in conjunction with ebay to turn your $800 tractor into the $600 tractor you mentioned wanting...though I would just leave them on year round if you already have them and be ready to plow snow with the addition of a blade & chains.

 

ABC - in the ever undulating yards of WV weights/fluid filled tires are really helpful for that extra bit of traction to prevent tearing up some grass getting over some of those big mole hills.
