Are the front wheels interchangeable between model? For example, an X300 and X320?

"Only if they fit" I love it.

Between the X300 and X320, I don't believe there'd be a problem, but let me tell you my story.

I figured a JD front wheel is a JD front wheel, they're all 8" diameter and somethin' like 5" wide, haven't changed since the dawn of man, right?

Oh, no, no. I have a GT235, and a 214. Both have an 8" front rim. I got a deal on a set of wheels/tires off a new X500. I wanted the rear rims most, but went for the whole deal, the tires were almost new, figured I could use the fronts on the 214, because I didn't really like the tires it had, and new rims would be easier than repainting the old ones.

Cutting to the chase, it turns out that all three tractors (214, GT235, and X500) all have different size (diameter) axle spindles, so the front wheels on any one tractor won't fit the other two. Surprisingly, the X500 has the smallest axle by a fair margin. I posted pics a while back, but here is one of them. Top left is the GT235 wheel, top right is 214, bottom is the X500. Note the different bearing sizes. This will be what probably determines what wheels will interchange between tractor models.
