On my 1987 jd 655 diesel i have the 50" mid mount mower deck. Cuts very nice but even with a brand new belt, when running the belt jumps all over the place.( never comes off any pullies though)
In the picture shown its the far right pulley where i can see the belt jumping and viberating all around. (though im sure it does it wherever the belt isnt supported on pullies)I put a brand new pulley on with the new belt and still is the same. Do i need to tighten the belt more? Seems like i cant get any more tension out of the spring even though i still have more room to tighten but it just dont seem to get tighter. Maybe i need a new spring. Anyone ever have this problem on any other 50" decks? like 318's 332's ?I always mow with the covers on, they were just off for the pic and work.
