I have seen everything from ATF to 90wt in oil bath air cleaners, use whatever clean oil you have handy.

All the manuals just recommend 1 cup of engine oil... whatever you're putting in the crankcase.

 

Any oil is correct, it is not used to lube..Its there to catch dust and dirt.

 

Any oil realy. Doesnt realy matter. I just normaly use whatever oil I am running in the engine, or whatever open QT I have laying around.
