42" Snow Thrower 3252M on GX345 - need install help

I picked up a '99 3252M snow thrower (BM18789) that supposedly came off a 345 (I also got a 48" blade, but that's for another thread). Of course I don't have the owners manual (OMM136305), and the only manuals online seem to be for GT or LX setups. It has all of the BM19216 attach kit, and I have the BM20781 lift kit already (not yet installed). I'm a bit confused, however, by a couple of things. I have scoured the threads, but I've not found many good pictures of the various attaching points.

Attached is a parts diagram for the thrower frame. The setup on the one I purchased has the kit for item 16 which are mounting parts for LX (I don't have the "D" brackets #14). I believe it should just have regular latches #17 rather than that entire #16 setup, correct?

Also, I do not believe I have item 24 ("Hook"); rather, item 10 ("Link") is in its place. I also have the #12 spacers, but I can't tell if that is just for the #16 kit, or if I should just have them in general.

If I don't need that whole item 16 setup, I am just going to use the correct latches (#17) and the hook (#24) rather than the link (#10). Does this make sense? Also attached are pictures of what I'm actually working with...

I'd like to see a picture of the latches for a GX345 (regular 345/300 series would work, too, I guess) as well as a picture of what you have in the area of items 24 & 12. Any help is sincerely appreciated!

The 3252 attaches exactly like the plow does. Can you look at the plow frame and see any differences or pieces missing?

In the first pic it appears that the latch hook on the left side of the frame is attached lower than the one on the right, which is correct. These hook onto the pins off the outside of the frame.

Thanks for the response. The plow does not have anything raised or bolted on except for a latch on either side.

The thrower has entire bracket assemblies bolted onto either side. The latches do not use a clevis/lock pin style; rather, they're using springs -- and they're actually facing "open" toward the thrower housing rather than the rear.

I forgot to update this thread with a solution. Using the parts list as well as seeing how the blade mounts, I replaced the LX-specific parts. Pictures attached are of the thrower frame setup for use on a GX, as well as the parts removed. Hopefully this helps someone in the future if they buy used and need to convert to mount.

Most of 16 is NLA and needed to install on an LX series ( i.e. LX188) so save them if you have them.

I got my blower off a 325 or 345 and it came with an upstop, not needed on LX but needed on 3 series

I certainly won't toss them as I'm sure someone could use them. That's what I'd like to think, anyway. I have a friend whose son has been looking for a LX to upgrade from his L, and a thrower is on his accessory list. I figured I'll wait and see what he ends up with before I advertise them.

With that said, if anyone stumbles across this thread and is in need of those parts, don't hesitate to ask!
