I am looking at a 210 that looks pretty clean. It has the larger deck, 14,hp plow and chains. It is missing the side covers and supposedly runs well. I am really wanting another snow blowing machine so I would need to grab a blower. The asking price is $600 but was thinking this was a little high.

The manual angling kit on the blade appears to be cobbed up.I my opinion the price is too high!

I could buy a lot more (JD) tractor than that for $600.00!

Keep us posted.......John

I belive JD was talking about what tractor model you were talking about for $600.

Im not sure where to start. Here I go. I will rate each tractor on a scale of 1-10 for it's condition at the time I bought it.
1) my 300 with 48 deck...$450.00 - I give it a 4
2)My 71 112H 46" deck...$250.00 - 5
3)1978 316k, Ok condition....$300.00- 4
4)1968 112,39 deck,37a snow thrower,wheel weights- chains$400.00- 6
5) 1987 316 with 50 deck $500.00- 7
6) 1979 314 48 deck wheel weights and a 49 snow thrower $750.00- 8
I spent more then $600.00 on the 314 buy I did sell the 49 for $500.00
7)1969 140 H-3,48 deck,weights,and a 49 $500.00- 6

These are just a few. I spend a lot of time searching CL,the Swap sheet .Most of them I find them when I'm driving .
I buy,sell and trade 5-25 tractors a year.

Tractors like that 210 are a dime a dozen around here and I wouldnt give more then $300.00 for it.

he listed them. all the 300 series I would say are better (just my opinion)
the 140 I would rather have but not the 112. The 200s just arent very comfortable for me. They are heavy built but I am stuck on Hydraulics and hydros. I sold my 212 and 210 complete but some smoke for $200 for both. Didnt take long to sell, go figure. But I did get $500 for my 214 in Very nice running and repainted condition. I just did not like its functionality.

I guess I live in the wrong state. Up here in Michigan the 200 series are fetching $800.00-$1200.00 now!!! And they aren't even prettied up. A guy south of me, anything under $500.00 he buys and scraps it. He made a business out of it ebaying them. 110 and 112's if they run, they can be all rusted up, and they will fetch $400.00-$500.00. Most of the stuff around here has gone up instead of down this last year. It would be nice to go out East and pick up some of that cheap iron and bring it back home, hmmmmm. ;) Well, have a nice day :))

Well, it was a wasted trip.

From the serial, it was a 1978.

The great running tractor would not even start. He said he ran it out of gas and it look like it it was leaking fuel from the carb so I am guess some dirt got into the needle and seat.

The plow was cobbled on there as was quite a bit of the wiring and fuel lines. The front tires needed to be replaced, the deck had a huge hole welded up, it had a bad repaint job, and the belt was shot.

I figured it was a non-running basket case and offered $200. If it had the snowblower already, maybe a little more, however, he was holding $400.

I did check the motor and sure enough, it was a 14 hp. However, the wiring was pretty chopped up. The owner had used home wiring cap connectors (!) for the repairs so a repower could explain it. Luckily, the fuel line repairs did have clamps and were not done with masking tape!

The serial number was 81,xxx.
