Hello folks!

I just recently purchased a 2011 Prestige (27HP Kohler/4WD w/54" Mower) and am interested in getting the hydraulic rear lift kit. My local dealer says he doesn't know of a hydraulic rear lift kit; only a manual rear lift kit. I am a previous owner of a Sovereign (mfg 1693407) which has the full rear lift kit that was operated using the hydraulic lift lever that raised/lowered the mower deck. I would like to verify that the dealer is right and that no hydraulic rear lift kit exists for the new Prestige. The Simplicity brochure; pg 14&15 for the Prestige states 'the hydraulic lift lever for attachments is dash mounted and makes for easy transport of front-, mid- and rear-attachments'. I'm hoping someone can tell me that the dealer is incorrect. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Freedo; Welcome to MTF ! I think I can help on this. I had a conquest and bought a tiller and rear lift kit. The Conquest of course is identical frame to the prestige, the difference is motor, trans & Hydraulic lift.

The kit had the components for both, they are similar in many parts but differ in a couple of attachment links under the frame. The hydraulic lever was a little different than the conquest one and the conquest had a spring assit that you crank adjusted by hand.

It looked to me like it was one kit with all the parts for either manual conquest or hydraulic prestige. So it may be one kit.

Hope that helps.

PS, freedo. They are very similar underneath the Prestige has the hydraulic lever on the dash the conquest the big manual arm. So with the Conquest you need a spring assist, trust me you cannot lift a tiller without it.

But with the Prestige the Hydraulics do the work but essentialy move the same rear kit.

For a 04 prestige part # 1694192 superseded by 1695965 list price $498.75

I have been looking into this for a couple of months trying to find out if the tripple bagger can mount to it(not to lift the bagger, but so I dont have to take it on and off) and I cant get a straight answer out of simplicity so I decided to pass on the $500.00 risk!

If you do a search on here you will find some info, but to summarize you are looking to add a Sleeve hitch and it does tie into the hydraulic lift.

Down side to this is that you cannot have the deck and sleeve hitch hooked up at the same time. It is also expensive...over 500 bucks for the parts, plus a poorly documented installation.

There was a member on here that went through it (think his handle is Orange05) and took it all back.

Johnny Bucket Sleeve hitch seems like a much better option for a similar price.

Best of luck and post up what you end up doing for the rest of us to learn from!

I HAVE ABOUT 15 PRESTIGE TRACTORS IN MY FLEET. 4 OF THEM HAVE THE REAR HYDRAULIC LIFT FOR MY TILLERS. THEY ARE OPERATED UP & DOWN FROM THE SAME LEVER THAT RAISES & LOWERS YOUR MOWER DECK. THE DEALER MUST BE VERY LIMITED IN HIS KNOWLEDGE, OR JUST TOO LAZY TO LOOK. I WOULD CHECK ANOTHER DEALERSHIP, BECAUSE I HAVE THEM, & THEY DO EXIST. THEY ACTUALLY COME WITH THE 36" TILLERS WHEN YOU ORDER THEM NEW. BUT, I DON'T THINK THEY MAKE THE 36" BELT DRIVE TILLERS ANY MORE. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU & OTHERS WITH YOUR QUEST FOR KNOWLEDGE.

It is my understanding they didn't make the tillers since around '05, but the tech didn't know who was making them for Simp. He thought it might've been Berco, so maybe they might have the install kit as well..??

BTW LYLE HORNER H & H LAWN this thread is 11 years Old
The 36inch Belt driven PTO tiller was dropped in 2020. It was Not Bercomac Making the tillers Haban Made some tillers for Simplicity in the Past & Haban's there assets were bought by Agri-Fab
You Can still get the one Point Hitch for Simplicity Tractors(Conquest and Prestige) I have Two of Them One for Pre Suspension and One for after Suspension . Kind of Funny If You get the one point That works with the Suspension tractors You Loose Your Rear suspension as you have to remove the rear suspension when Mounting the 1 point Kit for either the sleeve Hitch or the Tiller (y)
