Pulled the fender on the 185 to change the fluid in the hydro.Could not find a way to drain this unit.Has 2 plugs on it wich i believe to be for the diff.i drained a little but it did not lower the hydro level. Finally rigged up a adapter to my wet dry vac and suck it out from the top of the hydro.Got enough fluid out that i had to add about 3/4 of a quart and it quieted my hydro down and it is working better.Put the fender back on and the tractor would stall after running for a few seconds.Thought i had pinched the gas line or vent line but after pulling it back off and putting it on twice i moved on to checking the carb.carb was clean and working correctly but was not getting much fuel.Changed out the filter and it started up and ran perfect!
What a day!Pulled the fender a total of 4 times:crybaby:

Forgot to ask the question i starded this thread for! My fan is on the side on this unit.Where do you drain this unit for hydro?
Where do you add the diff fluid? There are two pipe plugs on it.One on the bottomn and one facing toward the front of the tractor.I see a larger plug on the top of the unit also.
Thanks Scott

There are 2 allen key plugs. the lower one drains the unit. The square drive pipe plugs are for the diff. Drain with the lower one, and fill on the upper one.
