Like the title says any information would be appreciated everything form service to things to check everything and I don't know what year it is is I do know it's a h1 but other than that I don't know anything well and that its complete and supposedly runs. All information is appreciated I'm ready to be schooled.:thThumbsU

Year is important to what you need to do for some maintenance items. There is a thread floating around MTF on a 140 check list.... I think Urban Tractor is the author....

Is there anything to look out for beside no parts for 1969 and older transmissions and the carburetors

Ive had about 6 140s. Never had a carb or transmission problem besides being dirty or needing a fluid change. Early parts are still readily availible on the used market.

The typical problem i see is they dont die

Well I did some wheeling and dealing and got my friend to throw in some rear cast iron wheel weights so I get the 140 and the weights for $500 and I think the 140 is a 1969 and it's kind of rough cut so where the rest of my tractors so I'd basically be paying $300 for the 140 and $200 for the weight which is decent for the tractor and pretty typical for the weights.

If you have a tiller on the back. Don't push the forward lever to fast, otherwise you do the ultimate wheelie into the neighbor's fence.

The 140 and 300 too me are similar machines. They steer similar.

Yeah I've done some pretty good wheelies before when I was plowing with a 318 without front weight almost hit the fence.

ok guys heres an update on the 140s sorry its been so long had to sort out an injector issue on my 332 well I went and looked at the 140s and they're rough I also decided I would buy both of them got the price for both of them $700 but haven't made a counter offer, I was think of going to a $1,000 and getting some other things I want that he has like a used OEM 3pt hitch for my 332, 4 way 54 blade needs new hoses and has surface rust, cat 0 Briny 3pt gang disc repainted and a Brinly sleeve hitch plow. Do you guys think a thousand is fair for 2 140 parts tractors one is a h1 the other is an h3 and the rest of the stuff I mentioned?

Ok here's some pic of the h1 forgot to get pics of the h3 but it's in about the same shape but the hood isn't as bad on it and yes we do have the airfiler air box.

And here's just for reference of what I'm used to dealing with and what I could make it look like.

I'm no stranger when it comes to making junk look and run good.

Price doesnt seem too bad with the three point and four way blade included. Hoses are not cheap though. What is the plan with the 140's? They aren't worth much if you plan on getting any money back out of them.

Well I plan on using some parts from the h1 to restore the h3 and I haven't decided what to do with the h1 it will probably wind up being my senior project. I don't really plan on reselling them I have wanted to build a 140 h3 for awhile it's on my tractor bucket list. This what I want the h3 to look like.
