Bit higher than I figured, but not much. Was his reserve $3500?
Yes.
I still hope to get over there to see it before it's picked up, I left him a message this morning. My Father-in-law has a severe stroke the other day so we'll be in Huntsville for a bit yet.
I think the buyer got a good deal.
I brush hogged & mowed all day today, had a blast. I miss my machines when I'm at work in Augusta.
I dug out the steering sulky for the 1st time yesterday & that was really fun to try, even took a video I hope to post soon. Today we installed my new stump grinder from Shawn Kohlbus; Holy crap it works great! It was dusk & my back was hurting bad, I'll try & get pix/video tomorrow.

I wonder how many of those Shawn has sold. Mines up in Ohio where it is snowing. Dad said it's snow at the second floor level but by the time it makes it to the first, it's rain. weather.

I knew I'd seen that Terramite before. It was on the back of the Gravely Gazette in Winter 2003. The D model watercooled he has should be a 1925 model. He also has an air cooled Model D.

According the text with the ad they have a number of other rare Gravley attachments they want to sell as well

If it runs as good as it looks, that's a bargain starting price - given the rarity of the attachment. According to the E-bay ad, it sounds like he had many more goodies - probably some that his boys haven't even yet ran across.

Dang, I sure wish I could justify that....

I think we have some "Enablers" in this forum.

:trink39:

As much as I think it is the coolest thing for a Gravely collection, I just have a hard time justifying it. After using CAT 416b's, 420d's and John Deere 310's where I always want more power and to dig just a bit deeper... I know I'm spoiled!

It is a great looking backhoe and I'm not going to lie, if I had money and a place to store it, I'd have to have it!

That is in my town. I've seen it and it is beautiful. This is the guy who told me he wanted 10 grand for it. He must've come to his senses. If anyone wants to buy it (and pay for it :thThumbsU) i can pick it up and store it.
