New to me R7268

I went to the local small engine shop for work today.....
The onwer/mechanic knows I love green things.........
He said look out back at what is going home with you tonight:

Cool. Free. Customer said they were done with it.... wanted self propel. He sold them a snapper.

Im wondering, are the wheels ball bearing.....and what did the R mean? I like it, its aluminum deck, push, F engine......Its really smooth, not as light as the Mag deck D's, but its gonna rival them.

I would like to find a bag setup for this.......

We'll see this Sunday what she does....gonna be a busy weekend.

I think the "R" means it originally sold with a rear-bag setup? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

That's got the old style vented primer bulb. Put some foam in it to keep dirt out of the carb.

My sweet catch may have backfired. It's more of a clunky mess now. I started it, let it run, listened to it......
I have either a bad case of piston slap, (unlikely) crank bearings giving up ghost or the conn rod cap is loose. I got a stange sound, no power and smoke.

So.....it will get torn into at another time. The IH is on the bench now.
