Hello everyone. Does anyone know of a company that makes a Cat "0" grader blade. I would assume a 4 footer would be fine but am unable to fine anyone that has one. I have a Cat "0" on my Case 644 and it would be a nice addition.

Thanks,
Bob

Northern Tool carries these. Note that some of the grader blades are for Cat. 0/ Cat. 1, and may be too much blade and weight for some tractors.

Welcome to the forum JohnSinVA! And thanks for posting the link!

Anthony, that looks like one nice tractor! Is it a Bolens 1250? do you think that the rear grader blade could be modified to power angle off the on-board hydraulics on an HT23? [Just wishing  ]

Try Kolpin/Dirtworks ATV Implements:

Kolpin/Dirtworks series.
They have a Cat. o 3-point hitch that secures to an ATV's, UTV's or Garden Tractor's, or just about anything using a 2" x 2" automotive style receiver hitch. They offer (2) different styles, one for ATV's, and one for larger Garden Tractors and UTV's

Call Kolpin or Cabelas for pricing, what they list on line is higher than what you can get them at Cabelas or direct from Kolpin.

I have one, works great!

:Welcome1: firestar447 That is so cool. What all do you do with it? Thanks for the link as i never knew about any 3point for a ATV.

Jody,

I can Plow Snow, Grade the Driveway, do landscaping projects, plant Food plots for hunting, Lift, Haul and move just about anything a tractor can, plus, I can still go trail riding, haul trailers and everything else an ATV can do.

So the way i see it i get the best of both worlds, Tractors and ATV's.

I think the fact that the 3-point hitch installs using a regular automotive style receiver hitch on my ATV makes it even better. I bet the Garden Tractor guy's could use this type of setup on the there machines?

Cabelas sells the receiver hitches, 3-point hitch and implements if your interested.

It's Cool.

I looked into that type of setup, but Cat. 1 on ATV's and Garden tractor are just to big, also, the trailer type setups don't work as well as vehicle mounted units because all the weight is hanging behind the wheels on the trailer setup, that decreases the weight on the ball hitch and rear wheels of the ATV and decreases efficientcy of the operation and traction.

My 3-point setup adds a minimum of 200lbs of extra wheel weight, giving me LOTS of traction and downforce on the implement. trailer setups only provide enough downforce equal to the implement and trailer weight combined. a vehicle mounted 3-point offers vehicle weight plus 3-point system + implement weight.

For my example:
840lbs - My Polaris Sportsman weights
85 lbs - 3-point hitch setup
50-200lbs - my Implement of choice
250lbs - counter weights secured into front mounted receiver hitch.
1100-1300 lbs of digging/pulling down force on wheels.

Can't achieve that and still pull any ground engaging trailer implement that is mounted to any ATV or Garden Tractor. They look cool from the outside but as with large scale tractors you needs lots of weight on the pulling wheels to make it all work.

I will stick with my vehicle mounted system anyday.

My $.02 worth

Also,

Kolpin/Dirtworks who makes the 3-point I have on my ATV sells a heavy duty 3-point capable of being mounted on any UTV. They have two different models, they only show the heavy duty unit on there webiste, but also sell a ATV only setup like the one shown on the Cabelas / ATV Implements web site.

I suspect you are 100% right as used on a GT or ATV, but I can see applications for the Agrifab system behind something like a Jeep, or other small utility 4x4 working ok. Much larger investment in the vehicle though...

As far price goes, some of the ATV's are getting very expensive now days.
You could probably pick up a used jeep or small pickup for less than a new ATV.

Does the 3 point that Kolpin/Cabela's come with a receiver hitch thhat can be mounted fairly easily on a Garden Tractor, or would I have to rig something up. Have you ever seen one on a Garden Tractor?

:)

Kolpin does offer receiver hitches for ATV's but i would imagine it would not take much for the garage mechanic to fabricate a 2" receiver hitch for the back of a garden tractor.

What type of machine did you have in mind?

I'm trying to figure out how to mount one on my Ultralight Airplane.
I could sure you it for some of those rough remote landing sites.

See picture: any ideas?

I have a Cub Cadet GT 3100!

I would mount it to your tail.
