Thought I would show off my collection of Orange Deere's (Scotts by JD). The one on the left runs and cuts and just plain works, powered by a 16hp Kohler. The one in the middle has a 17hp intek with a thrown rod, and the one on the right has an intek with a thrown rod and a damaged mower deck. I plan to get those going at some point. The newer one on the left shows 1700 hrs on its meter, is there any way to reset that being that the original motor no longer exists?

They are a good looking fleet, thats for sure, very nice shape :fing32:

I don't know of anyway to reset an hour meter, you would probably just have to replace it with a new one. Best of luck in getting those two machines in running order :trink40: .

moldymac just a little tid bit of Info on your machines. The first two are built on the old STX frame. The newest one is Built on the L series platform. Over in Germany Deere still make's Orange one's called the Sabo. :thThumbsU

Thanks for info on those. I was looking at homedepot and noticed how close the newer one is to the L series they sold. Makes sense that they share parts. Anyone have a hood and fender they want to sell to turn this into a Deere? I did find it interesting when I pulled the foot rest covers off to clean under there (on the new one) that there is a cutout for the pedal drive hydro. Would have been cool to have that.

I just had someone I know drop off their scotts for me to get running for him. Couldn't resist taking a picture of all 4. his is the second one from the front. Now it looks like I run a used Scotts dealer lol.
