Brought this load home today. 3 tillers and a chipper. The chipper has a stuck engine, but the tillers turn over. Just what I need, More Projects. :dunno:

The tillers are:
1) Homelite tractor attachment
2) Ariens 5hp rear tine
3) Garden Way TH-1019 8hp rear tine

The chipper:
1) Craftsman 8hp chipper/shredder

Projects are a lot cheaper than many vices.. And you can't chip branches with a bottle of corn squeezins.

Was this a load of freebies? Nice haul.

nice load.

That Troybilt looks to be decent, get it running, in my area, that would go for $4-500 all day long.

I have that exact chipper too, could be something stuck down in grinder area locking up motor.
This was sitting in the weeds and was tipped a little so the muffler was pointing up a little. I pulled the plug and saw a little rust so I assume it got water in it. I'll get the head pulled and see what it needs.

This stuff belonged to my dad's 92 yr. old cousin who live's in an old folks home now and he wanted us to pick this up before all the pack rats take everything. He already had a bunch of his stuff stolen. He said he will probably just give us this stuff, but we will give him something for it. The homelite tiller was free.

Wow, great score. Hope you get some of this running and can use it in his memory!

I pulled the head on the chipper and found a little rust. Its not bad, no pitting. I put a wrench on the starter drive, bumped it, and it broke free. I think we got to it in time to save it. It has spark so I will get a new head gasket, change oil, drain the fuel tank, Check the carb, and see if we can get it fired up. Also found some chunks of undigested limbs floating around the chipper flywheel. Now it's turning over really smooth.

We played around with the Ariens tiller getting all of the controls loosened up. It has spark so I sprayed some go juice in the carb and it wants to run. The carb needs to be pulled and thick green gummy syrup cleaned out.

The big garden way tiller will need all of the controls freed up also. The tough part will be getting the reverser moving on the slide pins.

The tines look like they are for the Homelite tiller.

That tiller is for the small frame T-8 and CT-10 Homies.

It will also fit the Broadmoor series up to 1975 model year, and Allis Chalmers Homesteader 8 and the small frame 610.

I will check that out tomorrow. I haven't held one up to compare it to the others yet.

is the horse a PTO model?

Post a better pic of the left side of the TB tiller. If it's a Horse / PTO, there will be a small engagement lever on the tranny, between the wheel and tine housing.
