Sonny, I have a leaf vac. My idea for the blower is just that, to blow leaves and dirt off the drive way.Doc, I am thinking the fins would be to close together to let the leaves pass thru.
It would have to be a HUGE blower. Keep in mind the rear PTO is 540 RPM, and the furnace blower is probably 3600 or slightly less. You'll have to really do some magic with pullies. Also, those are made for high volume, low velocity. Gor a successful blower, you need both.Sonny, I have a leaf vac. My idea for the blower is just that, to blow leaves and dirt off the drive way.

Unless, of course, you have one MASSIVE squirrel cage. If you can only get 130 MPH or less, you'll need A LOT of volume to make up for it. The CFM will keep debris moving, bit it takes MPH to get it moving.
Wow. What furnace did THAT come off of?![]()

Yes it would work for that. That is basically what was used in the video you just posted. :fing32:Sonny, I have a leaf vac. My idea for the blower is just that, to blow leaves and dirt off the drive way.

Probably only get used in the fall, but it would help to eliminate the 50 or so trips with the lawn sweeper.Right now I'm clean up about 1/2 acre.
