Lookin great ABC!! Thank you for taking the time to post pics! This sure is great project to be able to watch as it comes together.

I'll do that once it up and running.
It will be interesting to hear how it sounds compared to a Yanmar three cylinder. We had an old MF forklift at work that had a Perkins three cylinder, it had a unique engine sound.

Didn't get much done tonight. Mounted the grille, cut the header off the muffler and pie sliced it to get more clearance where it passes under the hood. Looks like the stubby turn down my '37 Allis WC had. I'll leave it that way until I get it running. I took the return fitting off the original toro gas tank (never throw anything away) to see if it had any check valve or anything. Nope, but it is a whole lot smaller, 1/8" opening. It is supposed to be restrictive, probably helps build pressure for the injectors. I have no idea why it can't be plumbed to the fuel line before the low pressure electric pump, but I'll drill a second hole in the tank for it like Toro did.
The engine is the same one in a Massey forklift, but the muffler makes a lot of difference. It sounded pretty smooth in the Toro, and I have a couple of kubota Cubs and a Kubota and then there is the Mitsubishi diesel in the 223 Toro and to me all those 3 cylinders sound smooth as silk.

That is extended like a 430 with a shorter wheelbase, more overhang. More practical.
I guess he put the 210 side covers on to cover up the twin cylinders hanging out, but I've seen vanguard conversions and I liked the look of the cylinders hanging out.

No pics for a couple of days? I'll make up for it today. I started out modifying the gas tank for a return line from the injectors like it was set up on the Toro. It was in the bottom of the toro tank, so I'll put it in the bottom of the Deere tank alongside the factory drain so the hoses will clear everything. I drilled a 1/2" hole, put in the new universal NAPA Grommet I've used will total success for years and a 1/4" fitting.
I went to Lowes and got a brass 3/16 male & a 1/4" female fitting to step the hose down to the 3/16 hose the return rail uses. I put it a couple inches down the line. I also cut a piece out of the rear frame and bolted in one of the 2 coupler holders from one side of the front of the scrap frame. The body pan was ready to install then after running the hoses.
I installed it with the seat springs, then I had to remove the seat cushion and drill the seat pan for the Deere GT pattern and weld nuts to it. You would think some aftermarket company obviously aiming for the Deere market would have the Deere pattern on there. Maybe that's why it was in the clearance section at TSC. Easy fix, but time consuming. I welded the attaching nuts while bolted to the springs. More chance of getting it welded in the right place that way.

I got the pedals on and tail lights. Somehow that was a days worth plus a couple of other chores. I'll start under the hood next. Get the fuel strainer and pump installed, after the left hydraulic lines. I'll leave the stubby exhaust on the right side as it is (2nd to last photo is the best) for now. Then the Radiator.

Awsome work. I wish I had half the skills you have.

:ditto: Looks fantastic! Excited for a video

You know, If I had this to do over, I would maybe leave the wheelbase alone and just stretched the nose to fit the radiator. I could have ended up with the deck being usable POSSIBLY that way. The front PTO is over the front axle the way it is now...but I like the looks better this way myself, and I already have mowers.

You know, I think that most people with your skills would leave the wheel base the same. But I think that's what makes this tractor so unique!! And your skills a notch above theirs..

Thanks for the praise. I sure hope it runs after all this.
You know I was thinking the same thing...ABC would be a bit red-faced if this thing does not run after all of this. I learned early on to get the mechanics running first, then worry about cosmetics.
