I'm going to tape around TORO and Commercial and use a sanding block to wet sand the paint off the letters and expose the aluminum (then polish the aluminum). That's my plan at least.....when I find the time to finish my project based off the same deck.

Wow that is nice.....its really getting me remotivated (project has been on hold since June). Are you still going to sand off the raised lettering? I'm going to do that before I put anything on the deck for convenience. Since mine is older (1991), I have the cast aluminum chute with a lot more raised lettering that was bare aluminum as well.

What color and brand of black did you use? I painted my shroud with a gloss black and it was too glossy so I went to a low gloss black for headers (which it is currently painted) and its too flat.

I don't know if I trust myself enough to sand it. I may use a roller and try and roll on silver or white. I may wait and let you be the guinea pig, lol.

I used that same tractor supply paint. I think it is magic brand? I used the cheaper can in gloss black. If you use it, make sure the first coat is completely dry before applying the second. I had to resand my shroud and recoil because the paint looked so bad. Actually, If I had it to do over I would have bought the higher priced stuff in gloss black since it covered so well on the deck.

real nice job. Did you shoot that with a rattle can?
