The width of the tractor at the back tires is 41 inches so there is an extra 1.5 inches to spare on each side. I have not had any problems, especially backing up as there is plenty of traction and power if you happen to get off the path a little bit.so perhaps this has been covered in another post but what is the width of the tractor at the widest point, which from the pictures looks like it is the rear tires. I see the specs for the x540 list the following
Wheelbase 51.2 in. (1300 mm)
Overall Length 79 in. (201 cm)
Width without mower 41 in. (104.1 cm)
I guess the wheelbase is what I would be wondering about. If rear tires are wider than the blower isn't it going to be difficult to move snow of any measurable depth?
Yes, it is the same tractor, I'm pretty sure the previous owner had never waxed it. I used the pressure washer, rubbing compound and waxed it. If you look at the left rear fender around the fuel cap the paint is still a little dull, I'm assuming Deere doesn't use clear coat and I couldn't get that area to take a shine. Is that really the same tractor that was in those original pics?
Yeah, THAT never happens! :biglaugh:I have not had any problems, especially backing up as there is plenty of traction and power if you happen to get off the path a little bit.
