Do you need the dimensions of the seat bracket?
Thanks! But I got it covered. One of the 16G has the old style brackets that mount on the seat sliders. Mounting the basket close to the seat and allowing the basket to move with the seat. The other 16G has the newer style brackets that mount under the seat sliders and mounts the basket closer to the back and does not move. This is the style I will copy as I like the basket away from the seat and the fact that the brackets when used with the support brackets under the seat pan help to sandwich the seat pan to prevent seat pan cracking. Just got the baskets from Wald yesterday....very nice! Thanks for the contact info. Jason

Can you take a picture of the bracket? The only picture I have is what is in the parts diagram.

Actually the bracket is not really needed. The little clips that come with the basket will work provided the seat has 5/16" threaded holes in the back.

The Northern Tool seats on a 800 series tractor are a problem no matter what kind of bracket is used. Might be forced into using the clips on those seats and let the basket swing free. I will post pictures later.

Just so everyone can be on the same page, here are some pictures of the short bracket that can be bolted to the top of the springs or sliders on the seat. It will move with the sliders. The larger one bolts to the seat pan and is stationary. As a result, it hangs much further to the rear.

OK, here's my list:

Another couple of Comm 10, 10A or 500 series 2-wheeler and an L or two. I have only one tractor and too many implements! A fellow here in New Mexico had a 5000 series 2-wheeler and an old L model. Was asking $1k and was bringing it to an auction clear on the other end of the state. I offered him less. He had it only about 5 years and recently put quite a bit into maintenance and wanted his money back. I just couldn't do it for that price. Additionally, I'd like to get a steering sulky.

I do not just want them for me (but I have to admit, a fleet would be very useful!) but for the summer camp I volunteer at each summer and throughout the year. I do have a 40" mower I picked up last year (to be restored soon) that is ideal for the camp as there is a large area to mow. With that and a steering sulky, the camp caretaker could retire that JD mower with plastic gears.

I'm alookin'!

New Mexico is tough. If it were me I would have to make a few road trips. There are more than a few Gravelys in Denver.

Richard,

Yes, it is tough. I have a friend in Tulsa and I see a lot of Gravelys for sale in the OK city and Tulsa area. I will need to visit him perhaps this summer. Todd White is in OK city. He has offered me a unit as you have for refurbishing. I almost convinced an owner to meet me halfway from Denver but it fell through.

I check CL regularly and will be putting another ad there for looking. Someday...

Okay, Decided what i want from Santa this year. I would like a LS with a Jenkins conversion kit, electric start, governor, geared wheels with chains, a "death blower", with the late style impeller, and it has to be low hours 100? sitting in a garage corner all original beautiful paint. Oh yeah, it has to be owned by an old lady who wants to get rid of it for $150 since her her husband who owned it "Bailed Out".

Let me know if you ever meet this woman. She might have a Gravely T-head twin sitting in the other corner of the garage under a tarp. As for a Jenkins equipted tractor, look to spend $1000 for one so equipted.

I would make an effort to locate some tractors and have someone store them for you. I am sure there are some members here that would be willing to do just that. Once a sufficient number of tractors have been collected in one or two spots, then it is time for a road trip and haul a dozen or so back to NM.

After seeing the Craigslist 24G can I add $5250.00 and a full tank of gas to my Xmas wish-list?????? Jason

I could use them, unless anyone's got a spare they'd cut me a good deal on. It's never too late for Christmas, right? :praying:
