Did you get the 38" deck? I'd like to have that easy deck leveling. Congrats!

John Deere is offering $500 discounts,...so an X300 followed me home!
Finally time for my STX to take a break.
Hey, congrats on the new x300 :trink39:

It really dwarfs your Late Model STX.
Congrats :thThumbsU

It has the 42" Edge deck. The dealer didn't get it leveled very well when he set it up, so I got a chance to "play" with it a bit. The adjusting wrench works well and makes it pretty easy to adjust the deck. There is even a plastic tool with the tractor to use as a height gage.
Assuming the blades are level with the three places you check on the deck, it should be fine.
Another interesting feature are the seat springs you can move to change the rate.
As you can imagine, the X300 is a HUGE improvement over my 15 year old STX!

I had an STX for a bit, I'm guessing you will never sit on it again !!
No offense to the STX guys, just wasn't right for me. ( didn't like the grill emblem)

Congrats man! I know where you are coming from. An X320 followed me home last weekend for the same reason... $500 off. :D

Anyhow, how do you like the steering? I was quite amazed at how much easier it steers than my LX-288 that I traded.
